Week for Riggs Motorsports Highlighted by Jason Riggs' $1,500
WKS Win!
(June 27, 2012) Jason Riggs, of Harrisburg,
Illinois, reached victory lane for the second time in 2012
on Saturday night, June 23 at the Western Kentucky Speedway
in Nebo, Kentucky! After timing in fifth quickest in UMP
Super Late Model qualifying, Jason ran second in his heat
race to earn the inside second row starting spot for the
main event. Jason sported a bad-fast Rocket Chassis in the
A-Main, as he bolted to the lead on lap 11 and led the remainder
of the distance to pocket the $1,500 top prize over Terry
English!
In all, Jason entered six events from June 19-24 in the
states of Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee. In addition
to the Western Kentucky triumph, Jason also finished fourth
on Sunday at the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville,
Tennessee and transferred into a pair of UMP Summer Nationals
feature events last week. Teammate Kevin Cole also competed
in three "Hell Tour" showdowns last week, advancing
into the $5,000 to win main events at the Highland Speedway
in Highland, Illinois and the Fayette County Speedway
in Brownstown, Illinois.
Scott James was also in action, as he brought his equipment
to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky
for a $2,000 to win program on Saturday evening. The Bright,
Indiana native won his heat race in preliminary action
and later started third in the A-Main. On a track where
passing was at a premium throughout the feature event,
Scott held on to his third position to finish behind only
winner Greg Johnson and runner-up Robby Hensley. You can

This week will be another busy one, as the Riggs Motorsports
team plans an onslaught on the UMP Summer Nationals schedule.
