29 :: Jason Riggs Lone Member in Action Last Weekend... |
Jason Riggs was the lone Riggs Motorsports
team member in Dirt Late Model action last weekend, as he traveled
to the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky last Thursday
night, June 26. The UMP Summernationals rolled into PIR last Thursday
and a $6,000 top prize was up for grabs. Jason was seventh fastest
in his group during qualifying and later finished seventh in his competitive
heat race. Following a second place effort in the C-Main, the driver
of the #81jr wound up eleventh in the B-Main. Unfortunately for the
young Harrisburg, Illinois native, his consolation race finish was
not quite good enough to advance him into the main event.

22 :: Riggs Motorsports Strong in UMP Summernationals! |

Harrisburg, Illinois-based Riggs Motorsports
was very strong in UMP Summernationals action in the Land of Lincoln
last week! Terry English wheeled team owner Scott Riggs' #81 machine
to a $6,000 triumph on Tuesday night, June 17 at the Highland Speedway
in Highland, Illinois. Kevin Cole was also solid at Highland, as he
posted a seventh place effort after starting twelfth. Jason Riggs
was also in action at Highland, but unfortunately could not put his
#81jr into the main event.
On Wednesday evening, June 18, the grueling
UMP Summernationals tour invaded the tiny Belle Clair Speedway in
Belleville, Illinois for another $6,000 to win show. Kevin was in
action at Belleville, but unfortunately missed out on the A-Main.
Thursday night, June 19 saw the Riggs
Motorsports team in action at the I57-I64 Raceway in Mount Vernon,
Illinois. Kevin set fast time on the evening during qualifying and
later finished seventh in the $6,000 to win feature event. Jason once
again failed to transfer into the A-Main at Mount Vernon after advancing
into the B-Main.

16 :: Riggs Motorsports Busy from June 12-15... |
The Riggs Motorsports team was ultra-busy
over the June 12-15 extended weekend, as they were in action at a
trio of different tracks. Things kicked off on Thursday night, June
12 at the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky.
Kevin Cole advanced twelve spots during the $7,500 to win UMP Summer
Nationals main event to finish eighth, while Jason Riggs wound up
twentieth in the final rundown.
Following a rain-out at the Paducah
(KY) International Raceway on Friday evening, June 13, Kevin brought
his #81c to the I57/I64 Raceway in Mount Vernon, Illinois on Saturday.
He was credited with another eighth place performance at the central
Illinois speedplant. The busy weekend wrapped up on Sunday, June 15
at the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana. Kevin took a provisional
to gain access into the $6,000 to win UMP Summer Nationals A-Main,
where he wound up being paid for twentieth at the pay window.

9 :: Kevin Cole Eighth at PIR Last Friday! |
The Riggs Motorsports team invaded the
Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky on Friday evening,
June 6 for a regular weekly show. Scott Riggs ran third in his heat
race, but later gave his car to teammate Kevin Cole for the A-Main.
Kevin then finished eighth in the final rundown of the feature event
last Friday at PIR. The Riggs Motorsports team will be ultra-busy
over the next week with events at Kentucky Lake (June 12), Paducah
(June 13), Kamp (June 14), and Haubstadt (June 15)!
