Podium finish with LOLMDS at 34 Raceway
Brandon Overton kicked off a busy stretch with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday at 34 Raceway in Iowa.
After advancing into the night’s feature with a runner-up finish in his heat race, Overton took command on lap 36 and led through lap 46 before ultimately finishing third in the 50-lap main event.
Shifting to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, Overton carried his momentum into the 19th annual CMH Diamond Nationals on Friday and Saturday. He recorded a sixth-place finish in Friday’s preliminary A-Main and followed it up with a ninth-place effort in Saturday’s $25,000-to-win finale.
Brandon remains in seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
