Overton claims runner-up finish in Conococheague 40 at Hagerstown
Brandon Overton and the Riggs Motorsports team made the trip east this past weekend, kicking things off with the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial at Georgetown Speedway on Friday night.
After finishing second in his heat race to earn a spot in the $21,049-to-win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned feature, Overton slipped back to a 15th-place finish in the opener.
With Saturday’s show at BAPS Motor Speedway rained out, the team wrapped up the weekend Sunday at Hagerstown Speedway. Overton turned in a strong run in the Conococheague 40, finishing second to Brandon Sheppard, while Hudson O’Neal completed the podium.
Overton currently sits third in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
