Jason Riggs tackles Sunshine Nationals; Dale McDowell makes start with Riggs Motorsports

Jason Riggs unloaded the Riggs Motorsports No. 81 machine at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Friday afternoon after Thursday's season opener for the World of Outlaw Late Models was washed out.

Among a stacked 57-car field, Riggs fell back in his heat race and was unable to transfer to the evening's feature. On Saturday night, Jason was in a much better spot in his last chance showdown, but once again faded and did not make the A-Main.

Dale McDowell piloted the other No. 81J Riggs Motorsports entry for the weekend but was unable to transfer to either feature.

Jason Riggs tacked on an extra race on Tuesday evening as Jack Riggs joined him at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Monday and Tuesday with the Hunt the Fornt Super Dirt Series.

Both drivers started the $10,000-to-win main event with Jason recording a DNF and Jack finishing just outside the Top-10 in 11th.

Full results from the tour's opening weekend can be found at www.WoOLMS.com and www.HTFSeries.com.
