Pair of LOLMDS top-10's in All-Tech's Wieland Winternationals
Brandon Overton joined 26 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series entries at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) earlier in the week for the rain-shortened South Georgia Showdown.
After Mother Nature washed out Monday’s opener, Overton advanced into Tuesday’s $10,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat race. Starting in sixth, Brandon got caught behind another competitor's slipup while running fourth that ended his night.
Back in action on Thursday, Brandon and the Riggs Motorsports team invaded All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Wieland Winternationals. After a slower start in Thursday’s prelim, Overton rebounded on Friday and Saturday with a pair of top-10 finishes.
The Evans, Georgia pilot followed up an eighth-place outing on Friday with a seventh-place run in Saturday’s $15,000-to-win Wieland Winternationals finale.
