Jason Riggs captures first victory since 2020 at Clarksville Speedway
Scores $2,500 Toilet Bowl Classic Opener
CHINA GROVE, N.C. (03/04/25) – Jason Riggs made a triumphant return to Clarksville Speedway this past weekend with a $2,500 victory in the opening round of the Tuckassee Toilet Bowl Classic aboard his Riggs Fiber / Bilstein Shocks No. 81 Longhorn Chassis Late Model.
Riggs, who narrowly defeated his teammate Jadon Frame in the 25-lap feature, ended a five-year winless streak with the victory. The College Grove, Tennessee native’s last win came at Clarksville Speedway on October 3, 2020.
"Man, it feels great," Riggs said. "The last time I was in victory lane was here at Clarksville, so it's pretty special to come back and grab another win. We learned a lot racing down in Florida, and I'm glad we could put that knowledge to good use. Riggs Motorsports is definitely headed in the right direction, and I’m excited to see what the 2025 season has in store for all of us."
Riggs made the 90-minute trip to Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway on Friday afternoon to compete in the 21st annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic.
Joining 24 entries aboard his Riggs Motorsports No. 81 Late Model, Riggs secured the pole for Friday's opener after topping the overall speed charts as the only driver to break the 13-second mark. Repelling an early challenge from Dennis Erb Jr. after the Illinois native led the third lap of the feature, Jason regained the top spot on the ensuing circuit and paced the remainder of the 25-lapper to secure his first Super Late Model victory since October 3, 2020.
Riggs banked the $2,500 preliminary payday ahead of his teammate Jadon Frame with Erb Jr. rounding out the podium.
Back at red-clay oval on Saturday, Jason raced into the Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic finale with a heat race triumph. With a $7,500 top prize up for grabs in the feature, Riggs steered to a consistent runner-up finish in the 30-lap affair. He trailed race-long pacesetter Ricky Weiss to the checkers with Allen Weisser finishing third.
