Brandon Overton visits Eldora Speedway for World 100 weekend
Brandon Overton was among 100 Super Late Model competitors at Eldora Speedway this past weekend for the prestigious 55th annual World 100 at the famed half-mile oval.
Overton kicked off the event with a heat race win on Thursday, earning a spot in the preliminary feature. However, he struggled to find speed in the 25-lap main, slipping to a 14th-place finish.
After finishing 21st in Friday’s preliminary feature, Overton bounced back on Saturday with a runner-up finish in his heat race, locking into the $72,000-to-win World 100 finale. His bad luck continued in the 100-lapper, suffering a flat tire and eventually pulling off on lap 71. He ran as high as third until the lap-37 flat.
