Overton attends Peach State Classic at Senoia Raceway
Brandon Overton stayed close to home over the weekend, taking on the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota miniseries season finale at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.
Friday’s Peach Bowl opened the two-day program, and Overton charged from sixth to third in his heat race to secure a spot in the feature. He went on to record a 19th-place finish in the 50-lap main event.
Saturday brought a stronger start. Overton qualified third-fastest in his 23-car group and followed with a runner-up finish in his heat, earning the fifth-starting position for the $30,000-to-win Peach State Classic. He climbed as high as second during the 75-lap finale before contact with another competitor on lap 54 abruptly ended his weekend.
