Gateway Dirt Nationals brings Overton and Riggs Motorsports to St. Louis
Unveiling a special Budweiser-themed throwback wrap, Brandon Overton rolled his Riggs Motorsports No. 76 into The Dome at America’s Center for the ninth annual Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals.
Slated for Friday’s preliminary program, Overton showed speed in qualifying with a time inside the top half of his group but saw his night take a turn after a spin in his heat race, significantly hindering his path to Saturday’s finale.
Relegated to a B-Main on Saturday, Overton’s 10th-place finish in the 10-lap last-chance qualifier brought an early end to his weekend and dashed his shot at the $70,000-to-win Gateway Dirt Nationals finale.
